Driver license professionals play a vital role in increasing the number of registered organ, eye and tissue donors in Colorado and Wyoming. Nearly 99% of residents who sign up to be donors do so when they apply for or renew their driver license or state ID card.

Donor Alliance works closely with our partners at the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles and Wyoming Driver Services to provide education and resources on organ, eye and tissue donation. The information is available to both driver license staff and customers.

Colorado and Wyoming are two of the most giving states in the nation with more than 68% of Coloradans and 62% of Wyomingites saying Yes to organ, eye and tissue donation. We are grateful for the efforts of driver license staff to educate residents about the registry and the lifesaving benefits of organ and tissue donation. Thousands of lives are saved and healed each year as a result.
