Donor Alliance is committed to educating the public about the current lack of organ and tissue donors and the tremendous need for people across Colorado and Wyoming to say “yes” to donation. Because of our commitment to education and our role in the organ and tissue donation process, Donor Alliance proactively works with local and regional media to increase our presence in the public arena. Whether it is a feature story from a donor family or a medical article about one of our processes, we feel it is important to continually strive to increase understanding about our very important work.

We will work to provide facts surrounding organ and tissue donation, to ensure that no donation opportunity is ever missed because of a myth. A large barrier preventing more adults from consenting to become organ and tissue donors are myths about donation, which unfortunately many people believe are true. Donor Alliance will continue to execute public education campaigns in Colorado and Wyoming to bust the myths, including research, news items, advertising, social media outreach and educational programs in the community.
